Bart Schachter is a career Silicon Valley technology and investment professional with deep experience at building and scaling technology organizations. He has been an entrepreneur, an early-stage venture capitalist, and an executive at companies including Intel, National Semiconductor, ServiceSource, Docker, and Blueprint Ventures.
Most recently Bart has been an advisor and investor in mid- and late-stage companies and alternative investments including public long, short and option-income strategies. His focus is on business operations, fundraising, team building, strategy, product, build-buy-partner, go-to market, finance, corporate & business development, and innovation - in the cloud infrastructure, enterprise, developer, and open source ecosystems.
Bart is an immigrant from communist Romania and has also lived in France and Israel and traveled to more than 25 countries. He is passionate about policy especially around immigration and economic opportunity, tax policy, and human rights. He is active in several board committees of the Jewish Community Resource Council.
He has coached several teams in the First Lego League robotics competition, an international non-profit which seeks to expose kids to STEM education. He holds an MBA from UCLA and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. He lives in San Francisco with his wife and two kids.
