Mike Wyatt is a Managing Director and Head of Global Technology M&A for Morgan Stanley’s Technology Banking Group, based in Menlo Park. Mike joined Morgan Stanley in 1994 and has been a strategic advisor to clients in the areas of technology, media, and telecommunications since joining the firm, focusing specifically on technology clients since moving to California in 1998. Over the last 27 years, Mike has advised on over 200 transactions in excess of $300bn of total value.

Mike’s recent transactions include Microsoft’s $25bn acquisition of Linked In, $26bn capital raise for Reliance Industries’ Jio and Retail businesses from Facebook/Google/sponsors, $14bn sale of McAfee to Advent/Permira/Crosspoint, $11bn sale of Infor to Koch Industries, $6.5bn acquisition of Auth0 by Okta, $6.4bn sale of Medallia to Thoma Bravo, $5bn sale of Cloudera to CD&R/KKR, $5bn acquisition of Ellucian by Vista/Blackstone, $5bn sale of Vertafore to Roper, $5bn merger of Cloudera and Hortonworks, $5bn acquisition of Cornerstone OnDemand by Clearlake, $4bn sale of McAfee Enterprise to Symphony, $2.7bn sale of Shutterfly to Apollo, $2.5bn sale of Glu Mobile to EA, $2.2bn sale of Carbon Black to VMWare, $2bn sale of Forescout to Advent/Crosspoint, $2bn sale of QAD to Thoma Bravo, $2.7bn sale of Cast & Crew from Silver Lake to EQT, Koch’s $2bn investment in Infor, the $2bn sale of Polycom to Siris Capital, the $1.5bn sale of Cray to HPE, the $1.5bn sale of Ruckus to Brocade, $1.3bn sale of Vlocity to Salesforce, the $2.0bn merger of Spansion and Cypress, $2.3bn sale of Conversant (formerly ValueClick) to Alliance Data Systems, the $1.0bn acquisition of Mandiant by FireEye, the $800m acquisition of Lifetouch by Shutterfly, the $800m sale of Braintree to eBay, and the $1.0bn sale of Eloqua to Oracle. Mike received a BS from Stanford in Industrial Engineering, and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. Mike also serves on the Board of Directors of Save The Redwoods League.
