After the Holidays: Restoring Rhythm & Direction
The Edge of Resilience Series Part 3
Facilitated by Kellie Mix & John Previtera
The holidays are meant to be restorative — yet for many leaders, caregivers, and high performers, they often leave us feeling more depleted than renewed.
In this third conversation in The Edge of Resilience series, we’ll explore why the holiday season can be so disruptive to our energy, focus, and nervous system — and how to intentionally reset without falling into the trap of January overload.
This session is conversational and interactive by design. Attendees are encouraged to join the discussion, ask questions, and engage in real time as we work through what it actually takes to regain rhythm and direction after a demanding season.
What We’ll Explore Together
Why the holidays drain us more than they restore us
• Family dynamics and emotional labor
• Disrupted sleep and nervous system fatigue
• Breaks from normal routines
• Decision overload and constant context-switching
How to reset after the holidays
• Finding your rhythm again
• Creating nervous system predictability
• Resetting routines — or starting new ones that support what matters most
• Re-entering structure without pressure or perfection
Building momentum for the year ahead
• Creating clarity through communication
• Using accountability to relieve pressure, not add to it
• How to avoid “January overload”
• The “3 Goals Only” rule to focus energy where it matters most
This conversation isn’t about doing more — it’s about doing what’s sustainable.
Come ready to listen, reflect, and participate. We’ll meet you where you are and move forward together.
